Arduino vibration sensor

So in this project, a basic vibration sensor module is interfaced with popular Arduino UNO and whenever the vibration sensor detects any vibration or jerk an LED will start blinking. The sensor uses LM3comparator to detect the vibration. This article describes about vibration sensor SW-4and Arduino interface then it may help you to design effort less vibration measurement.


The tilt sensor can detect basic motion and orientation. It contains two contacts and a small metal ball.

Once held at a particular orientation, the ball bridges the two contacts and completes the circuit. The pins are designed for easy installation and are solderable. The piezo sensor should be place where the chance of vibration is high or where enough vibration will be produced. For easy and better placing, the sensor can be placed apart from the GSM and Arduino circuit. The wires should not be too long as it may drop the induced voltage.


So always try to reduce the wire length as much as possible. Piezoelectric vibration sensor is a flexible sensor for measuring vibration , impact and touch. It can detect not only strong shock, but also fine vibration and wide frequency range.

When the movement or vibration occurs, the circuit will be briefly disconnected and output low. You can adjust the sensitivity of this sensor with the help of a trimmer potentiometer. I would like to build a wireless vibration (piezoelectric?) sensor. It would be attached to a table football game on one side and the other side would be connected to a PC.
