Bears animal facts

Cubs are known to moan and cry when separated from their mothers. Bears grieve deeply for others. Some species of Asiatic bear build nests in the trees. The warning signs of a bear not being happy include standing up tall and roaring.

It is said that you should make yourself appear as large as possible when a bear is in such a stance. Six out of eight species of bears are vulnerable or endangered.

There is very little information on some bears because researchers have a hard time finding them! Common characteristics of bears include large bodies with stocky legs, long snouts, shaggy hair, plantigrade paws with five nonretractile claws, and short tails.
