Asian barbecue sauce

Ingredients teaspoons sesame oil. Let the sauce cool to room temperature. Use as a basting sauce towards the end of cooking, or brushed on after barbecuing, with additional sauce. Place all ingredients except the corn starch and water in a medium sauce pan and bring to a boil.


Easy and tasty I made this using Kecap Manis from an Asian market.

Brushed it on pressured cooked boneless pork rib, then broiled them to caramelize the sauce. A nice change from a traditional American barbecue sauce. When you are ready to cook , marinate meat for 4-hours, turning once every two hours.


I have been searching for a Chinese BBQ Sauce for quite some time. This sauce had great flavor combinations and is perfect for all the food I have tried it on. So use it only at the end of cooking.

Indonesian Sweet Soy Sauce, (recipe follows). Continue to cook, stirring occasionally with a fork, until sugar is melted into a colored a golden caramel. The marinade is a simple mix of soy sauce , brown sugar, fresh lime juice, a bit of oil, garlic, ginger and spices. Char Siu – Chinese BBQ Pork.
